The Union Chapel School of Ministry & Leadership is a practice-based learning environment where faith and action meet. Students are immersed in real ministry contexts while receiving intentional mentoring, leadership development, and spiritual formation.
Through real-world ministry experiences, mentoring, and instruction, students grow in leadership, character, and calling—emerging spiritually grounded, practically equipped, and ready to live out God’s purpose.

Graduates will receive an Associate or Bachelor’s degree from Bethel University in Mishawaka, IN, or a Certificate of Ministry from Union Chapel. They will emerge from the program spiritually grounded, practically equipped, and prepared to live out their calling!
Students in both tracks receive hands-on instruction and leadership development through active ministry participation at Union Chapel.

Learning goes beyond the classroom through supervised ministry placements, leadership development, and community engagement.

Grow in discernment, communication, collaboration, and adaptive leadership for today’s church and culture.

Face real ministry challenges with guided reflection and mentoring that fosters spiritual maturity and resilience.

The School of Ministry & Leadership is an experiential learning community based at Union Chapel in Muncie. Students grow through biblical teaching, spiritual formation, leadership development, and hands-on ministry experience.
We offer two tracks:
Undergraduate Track – Earn an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in partnership with Bethel University.
Certificate Track – Earn a two-year Ministry & Leadership Certificate from Union Chapel.
Students may pursue Associate or Bachelor’s degrees in areas such as:
• Ministry Leadership
• Business Administration
• Worship Leadership
• Business Marketing
• Behavioral & Social Science
• General Studies
Bethel University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is FAFSA-approved.
Undergraduate Track:
$11,500 per year (August–May), paid to Bethel University, plus books and materials.
Certificate Track:
$1,500 per year (August–May), paid to Union Chapel.
Undergraduate Track:
20–25 hours per week
Required on-campus time: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday | 9:00 am–12:00 pm
Certificate Track:
12–15 hours per week
Required on-campus time: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday | 9:00 am–12:00 pm
Students also serve and participate in Sunday church services.
Yes. Credits can transfer in and out at any time.
Yes. Students must be actively connected, regularly attending, and serving in a local church.
