What is Faith Promise?

Faith Promise is different from a church pledge or contributions to the general church budget.  It is not a pledge made to the church; it is a promise made to God.  Faith is called for; but faith-to-give.  You are urged to ask God what you should trust Him for, the amount He will enable you to give each week for missions during the coming year.

The basis of the promise is a relation between you and God.  If for any reason you cannot pay your Faith-Promise, the reason should be explained to God.  Make your Promise, not on the basis of what you have to give, but on the basis of what you believe God will enable you to give.

This is a faith promise, a covenant between you and God.  It is a voluntary offering for the evangelizing of the world.

Faith Promise funds three Mission Organizations and Outreaches in our City...and in our Community and in our World.  The following is information on each of those. You can make a contribution to your pledge by clicking here Online Giving  and designate it to Faith Promise, or click the Online Giving tab at the top of any page.

 OUR CITY

Blood-N-Fire is an active Christian Community that intentionally embraces diversity and seeks out creative ways to express worship to God. If you are searching for a deeper connection with God, we invite you to come and experience His love through music, discussion, arts, service, and fellowship.

Kids Hope One simple thing will make a big difference in the life of an at-risk child: One-on-one, positive attention from a responsible, caring adult. KIDS HOPE USA develops these one-on-one relationships through the creation of church-school partnerships that pair church members with at-risk kids in supportive, mentoring relationships. KIDS HOPE USA mentors spend just one hour per week at a local school (Longfellow elementary), reading, talking, playing and listening to a child at school. By helping the child feel loved and valued, they help that child to learn, grow and succeed. You can change a life…and that’s no small change.

OUR WORLD

World Missions to Humanitarian Aid Entities that exists to facilitate the exchange of friendship and good will between Americans and other nations.

This purpose is achieved through sharing expertise, business ideas and cultural exchanges. These may include, but are not limited to, public health, medical / health sciences, business development, youth activities, agriculture, environmental concerns, humanitarian aid, education, and the improvement of the human condition in other countries in Central Asia.

Sponsor an Orphan Program:

Bring Hope to a Child's Life.

This program is an opportunity to support orphans in Central Asia. For less than 60 cents a day, you can make a difference.

As a sponsor, you will have the opportunity to write letters to your sponsored child. Many sponsors receive replies from their sponsored child.

Sponsors may donate $200 annually, $100 biannually, or $50 quarterly.

What makes this program different than other sponsorship programs? It is facilitated in a way that  you have a close relationship with your child. We encourage you to write as many letters as possible, showing them that you care for them and giving them hope. You are never asked for more funds (birthdays, Christmas, etc) than you already give as a result of your sponsorship.

Youth Impact:

Today, these orphans are often unprepared to face life after leaving the orphanage. The Youth Impact program aims to address the needs of at-risk youth, provide practical training, provide business skills, and assist with moral development. General seminars, Large-group seminars, cover general topics, including HIV/AIDS awareness, personal finance, health & suicide.

The Life Skills part of the Youth Impact Program is designed to give youth practical tools, build their self-esteem, and develop good decision making skills.

Employment Training: Youth Impact provides basic employment and career development training. Internships provide youth with practical experience by letting youth go through the interview process, take on responsibility, and apply their business skills.

Future Plans: Interlink intends to expand the Youth Impact program by offering program graduates the opportunity to live in subsidized apartments for up to three years while practicing their newly gained skills under the supervision and care of adult mentors.

English Center:

In one of the largest growing cities in Central Asia, we provide an English Resource Center to meet the ever increasing need to learn English. Our vision is to provide a site where students can immerse themselves in a total English environment. In carrying out that vision, this program offers:

* Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced level classes
* Native English speakers teaching classes
* State-of-the-art library with over 7,000 books in English, periodicals and other teaching aids
* Computer classes
* Conversation classes
* English movie nights and other activities
